Kimuraya is an exceptionally friendly and welcoming inn in the region of Wakaura, in Wakayama prefecture and is situated 3 kilometres in the south of the Wakayama castle.
Kimuraya was founded 74 years ago and has served thousands of guests and has the reputation of the most welcoming and friendly inn in the area. This inn is run by mother (second generation) and daughter (third generation) as ‘okami. Both manageresses are kind and generous, and make their guests feel at home while they are staying there.
Facilities:
Bedrooms
1, small bedrooms: 12
sleep from 2 to 6 in one bedroom.
2, big rooms: 3
sleep upto 20 per room.
Note: all small rooms have a toilet inside the room and some wash hand basin.
Guests in big rooms are expected to share toilet facilities with other guests.
All bedrooms have fantastic sea views overlooking on the bay of Wakanoura.
Bathrooms
A big bathroom for men to share. From the bathtub guests can see
the Wakaura bay. This bathroom can have 8-10 men max at a time.
A smaller ladies’ bathroom. This has not outside views, but newly decorated in an exotic style. Besides the main bathtub, it has a small tub which contains natural herbs for fragrance and health.
Note: On demand, this inn can provide originally Korean treatment called ‘yomogi nokunnyoku’ (herb smoking) for low blood pressure people.
Toilets
There are five toilets and wash hand basins to be shared by all guests.
Game room
There is a game room at the level 2 with a table-tennis table
Café
There is a small café annex to the reception of the inn. This café is open from
8:00am – 9:00pm. But if the guest asks nicely, the opening time can be made flexible.
Beach Café: Bagus
This beach café is one of the hottest spots in Wakayama prefecture among young people. This licensed café opens at 3:00pm and closes at midnight. This café has unique features with a live music stage. Its seating area extends from indoor to the open beach. This café offers variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as limited food menus. It also has a pizza oven in the corner, where they
serve variety of pizzas.
Other leisure sports and walk paths
1, Sea-fishing: Sea-fishing from the beach and quays is free.
Can hire fishing boats from a local fisherman
2, Sailing: available from the local marine sports club
a dinghy, wind surfing, surf-board
a cruiser can be hired for evening cruise around the bay.
3, Walks: several walk paths are recommended
path climbing the mount Takazushi, which is situated behind the inn.
From its top, a fantastic uninterrupted view of the bay of Wakaura is
to be seen, of-course the weather permitting.
Access to Kimuraya
From Osaka by rail
1, JR line from Osaka, or Shin-Osaka, it will take one hour by an express train.
2, Nankai private railways from Nanba(Osaka), it will take one hour by
an express train. (cheaper)
From Kansai Airport
By railways
Both JR and Nankai runs between Wakayama and the airport by need
to change once at Izumi-sano.
By limousine bus (recommended)
A limousine bus service is available between Wakayama and the airport every half and hour. Alternative bus will come to Wakaura-guchi, the entrance the bay of Wakaura. It will take 20minutes on foot to get to Kimuraya from Wakaura-guchi.

Note: Kimuraya inn will offer a shuttle service to railway stations and bus-stops.
